Scott D. Robertson
Mr. Robertson has over 14 years of experience in the insurance industry. As Founder and CEO of Agents’ Umbrella Group/BenefitPort Southeast, he grew the company from start-up to becoming the largest independent General Agency in the country for The Travelers, UnitedHealthcare and Aetna. After selling the company to Benefitmall in 2006, Robertson began providing strategic and sales consulting services, assisting several private clients through major transitions that included turnarounds, significant restructuring and the implementation of effective growth strategies.
In addition to his background as an entrepreneur and consultant, Scott has served the insurance industry as President of the Florida Association of Health Underwriters, has been appointed to advisory boards by the Florida Insurance Commissioner and is an author and speaker on topics ranging from insurance technology to healthcare reform. He is very active in his community, where he serves as a board member for Habitat for Humanity of Lee County and as a committee member for both the Children’s Advocacy Center and Hodges University.
