During his tenure with Lumbermen’s, Doug served as Regional Vice President for approximately ten years where he had responsibility for the Great Lakes Region’s underwriting, sales, loss prevention, staffing, collateralization, and financial results. This region encompassed 15 Great Lakes area states with annual generated premiums of $38 million and a staff of 50+ employees. His previous experience with Lumbermen’s includes serving as loss prevention engineer, branch manager, and district manager.
Mr. Lilak is a Licensed General Lines Property and Casualty Insurance Agent, a Certified Insurance Counselor, and a Certified Risk Manager. He is active in both NAPEO and FAPEO as a regular presenter and speaker. Doug is also an alumnus of Wayne State University where he earned a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry.
