St. Petersburg, FL - (Thursday, September 3, 2009) – St. Petersburg, Florida-based SUNZ Insurance Company announced today that Christine L. Gagne, CIC, will serve as the company’s new Director of Sales.  The insurance company specializes in providing workers’ compensation to Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) and Staffing Companies.

Gagne, an insurance industry veteran, has placed property and casualty insurance accounts since 1986. She offers expertise in areas of sales and marketing for multiple lines of insurance products, client services and management. Her recent focus has been on workers’ compensation in the area of loss sensitive products. She was formerly the Director of Underwriting and Marketing for Midwest Insurance Services (MIS), where she was responsible for marketing and placement of large loss sensitive commercial accounts.

MIS handled the back office operations for the large deductible workers’ comp program for Midwest Employers Casualty Company, one of the largest excess carriers in the country. In this role, she was also responsible for management of a PEO-owned Insurance Company Client.  She was managing approximately $43,000,000 in total standard premium with this program prior to joining SUNZ.

She has obtained her property and casualty license, surplus lines license, health license and professional designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). She studied under the Crummer Management Program at Rollins College and has completed a multitude of courses on Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration and Marketing.
